On 10 June 2025, the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) hosted an exclusive webinar to officially introduce Cyberhive EUROPE®, the first digital marketplace fully dedicated to the European cybersecurity sector. This landmark initiative, co-developed with the European cybersecurity community, aims to accelerate the visibility and growth of trusted European providers, strengthen Europe's digital autonomy, and channel investment into homegrown innovation.

A central focus of the webinar was the Cyberhive Matrix ,  a powerful new tool offering a European-centric, objective alternative to existing market quadrants. The Matrix helps CISOs, decision-makers, and investors identify mature, trustworthy, and strategically aligned cybersecurity solutions made in Europe. 

The first edition of the Cyberhive Matrix featured 14 providers and 18 cybersecurity solutions, offering a promising start to what will become a cornerstone of Europe’s digital future.

During this webinar:

• Paul Bayle,  CISO at Atos Group,  emphasised the urgent need for European digital sovereignty and the importance of supporting European cybersecurity champions. He shared with attendees how businesses can tackle digital sovereignty concerns during their digital transformation journey, emphasising.
  • The role of legal and regulatory compliance
  • Protection of digital assets
  • Atos sovereignty control main toolbox.

• Pawel Rybczyk, CEO of Labyrinth, reflected on his company’s participation in the first edition of the Cyberhive Matrix and how the initiative contributes to a stronger, sovereign European cybersecurity landscape, emphasising:
  • Labyrinth's involvement in ECSO and the Cyberhive
  • The importance of considering European sovereignty in this climate of geopolitical tensions.

The discussions underlined the importance of data sovereignty, technological independence, and building a resilient European cybersecurity ecosystem capable of competing globally.
